V for Vitamin. A for Advanced. R for Rebuild. 茶 for tea.

Philosophy

One chemist, seventeen years inside GSK, L Oreal, Evonik and Lanxess, where he still runs a cosmetic raw materials business. He is one of the people the big brands buy their ingredients from. After his second child was born, his wife could not get so much as a toner onto her face, and he built the fix himself. Sourcing, formulation, package design, all of it his.

The serum runs a natural brown. That is the centella, and there is a lot of it, harvested young in April from pesticide-free fields. In Korea that colour is a problem, because the market wants white. Here it is the point: an even, uniform tone rather than a bleached one.

Known for

  • Rice-derived PDRN. Patented, extracted from Icheon rice. Plant, not animal. In the Cica Serum.
  • Centella tea extract. Young centella, harvested in April, eco-certified and pesticide-free.
  • Vitamin B5 and B3. Dexpanthenol and niacinamide, the base of every formula he makes.
  • Peptide complex. Synthetic, vegan certified.
