Short bio

Agnes Kim is the founder of ViaJiin. She spent eight years at Microsoft, most recently as a director leading Xbox's expansion into Asian markets, and before that at Deloitte Consulting and Sony Pictures Entertainment. She is a graduate of the University of Washington Foster School of Business, is bilingual in Korean and English, and lives in the Seattle area with her family.

Long bio

Agnes Kim founded ViaJiin in December 2025, building it on nights and weekends while working as a director at Microsoft. Her role was eliminated in July 2026, after eight years at the company, and she has been building ViaJiin full time since.

Her last stretch at Microsoft was market expansion, opening Xbox into Asian markets. That was not where she started there. Her first role managed the Activision publishing partnership. Earlier in her career she worked at Deloitte Consulting and Sony Pictures Entertainment. She holds a degree from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

ViaJiin runs the same skill in the opposite direction from the work she did at Microsoft. Where that job carried an American product into Asian markets, this one carries Korean products to American customers. She is bilingual in Korean, and negotiates directly with every supplier in the line.
