FAQ

What is ViaJiin?

ViaJiin curates Korean skincare into complete routines and ships them to you in the United States. You answer questions about your skin, we match you to a kit, and full routine with full-size products arrive already chosen to work together.

How does it work?

One. Take the quiz

Ten questions, three minutes. It asks about your skin type, what is actually bothering you, how it behaves through the year, what you already use, and how much time you realistically have in a morning.

Two. We match you to a kit

The quiz points you to one kit that is curated to help with your skin type. If none of the options feel right, there is an option to talk to Agnes the creator and curator of ViaJiin. If two would work, it tells you that too, and why you might pick one over the other.

Three. It arrives, chosen for your skin

Four full-size products, in order. A fifth piece, chosen for this routine. And a card explaining the sequence and why each step is there, because a routine you do not understand is a routine you stop doing.

What's actually in the kit?

  • Four full-size products. Not samples, not travel sizes. The real thing, in the order you use it.
  • A fifth piece, a bonus item. It varies by kit and it is meant to help finish up your routine or explore new items from Korea.
  • A routine card. The order, the timing, and what each step is for.
  • Full ingredients in English, verified against the manufacturer's own statement.

How products are chosen?

Nothing here was picked off a trend list.

Agnes read the Korean reviews written by people who paid for the products themselves. In Korea those are called 내돈내산, bought with my own money, and they are a different perspective from a sponsored post.

Agnes spoke with the founders and the people who actually make the products, to understand how they think about formulation before deciding to carry them.

And she read every ingredient list across a kit, in full, to confirm the routine works as one system rather than four separate purchases that happen to share a box.

That is why there are only trusted brands here, not thousands of random products.

What happens after it arrives?

Once your kit arrives, everything lives in one place. Your Routine shows
the products you were sent, the order to use them in, and where you are in
your skin journey.

It is also where you refill. Buying a kit opens up individual products, so if one runs out before the rest you can top up that step. When the whole routine is due, the kit is the better buy.

Is there SPF in the kit?

In the United States sunscreen is regulated as an over-the-counter drug, not a cosmetic, and several UV filters that are standard in Korea are not approved here. The Korean sunscreens we would want to send you cannot legally be sold as sunscreen in the US. We would rather send you nothing than send a different product that is reformulated to fit US standards. Finish your morning with an SPF you already know and love.

Are you a reseller of the products?

Every product is sourced directly from the Korean brand or its supplier, not through a third-party reseller or grey-market channel. That is also why we can tell you who is responsible for each product in the US, which a drop-shipper cannot.

How long does the quiz take?

Three minutes. Ten questions.

How much does a kit cost?

$179 for any of the four kits. There are also two duos at $99 for someone who already has a routine they like.

Are the products full size?

Yes. Every product in a kit is full size.

Can I buy just one product?

Once you have had a kit, yes. You can reorder any single product from it, with no membership.

Where do the products come from?

Boutique Korean brands, sourced directly from Korea. Most of them have never sold into the United States before, which is the point.

Is Korean skincare FDA approved?

No cosmetic is FDA approved, Korean or American. The FDA does not approve cosmetics. It regulates them after they are on the market. We wrote a longer answer on the blog if you want the detail.

What if a product does not suit my skin?

Tell us. You have 30 days, with a full refund on unopened products and store credit on opened ones. We always recommend patch testing something new before it joins your full routine.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not yet.
