Philosophy
Yeonhwa Company reinterprets traditional Korean ingredients with a modern sensibility. Its licorice line, which is the cleanser in your kit, is made by 순환달임, a circulating decoction method the brand built to draw the ingredients out slowly enough that as little as possible is lost on the way.
The method is used on only two products, the cleanser and the toner. It is meant to settle reactive skin and leave moisture behind rather than take it away. Vegan certified, and the care runs from the formula through to the packaging.
From the founder
Our first product, the licorice cleanser, was reworked again and again, from the scent to the texture to the way it cleanses, until every part of it felt right. To us a cosmetic is not only its ingredients. It is the texture in your hand, the scent, the feeling in the moment you wash.
We could have copied a bestseller and most people would never know the difference. But that would be deceiving the person using it. This one cleanser, we made with real confidence.
