Healing, and Ara. The old Korean word for sea.

Philosophy

The only brand in your kit that grows its own key ingredient. Healara cultivates marine microalgae in a controlled solarium rather than harvesting from the ocean, then harvests, extracts and refines it in-house.

Founded by a research scientist with a PhD from Seoul National University and over 175 published papers. The microalgae Healara grows each year absorb roughly 25 tons of carbon dioxide and give back 18 tons of oxygen.

Known for

  • panFUCOXANTHIN. A marine carotenoid from brown algae. It cannot be easily synthesized, so it has to be grown.
  • panVULGARIS. A green microalga, two to ten microns across.
  • Multi-form hyaluronic complexes. A house signature, with up to ten forms of hyaluronic acid in a single formula.

Not every ingredient appears in every product. The individual formulas differ, and each one is listed in full on its product page.

Where you will find it

Several formulas contain gentle acids, so wear sunscreen daily. The Radiance Shot Moisture Toner contains sage oil, a fragrance allergen, so patch test if your skin is sensitive.
